French Toast

Ingredients

  • 8 thick cut slices of bread
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk (or half-and-half)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup (or sugar)
  • 2 tbsp aged rum (or 1 tsp vanilla)
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt

Directions

  1. Whisk ingredients together in a large bowl.
  2. Soak (don't dip) bread in egg mixture.
  3. Brown bread in skillet.
