Kale Chips
Ingredients
1 bunch kale
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp kosher salt (or to taste)
Directions
Adjust oven rack to center position and preheat to 300°F
Wash the kale and remove stems. Keeping the kale in larger pieces makes it easier to put into the oven and easier to eat.
In a large bowl, mix the kale, with the olive oil, salt, and any optional flavorings. Massage the leaves to soften them.
Arrange kale in a single layer on baking sheets and transfer to the oven. Cook for 15 minutes or till crispy (but not browned) When done, transfer kale chips to a wire rack to cool.
Notes
Optionally mix spices or flavoring with the olive oil. Possible options include:
1 tsp lemon zest
1/4 tsp paprika (or other chili powder)
1/4 tsp paprika (or other chili powder) with 1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
If making habanero kale chips, 1.4g of habanero is too much.
