Equivalence

  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes == 2 cup diced tomato == 2 large diced tomato

  • 1 medium cabbage == 5 cups chopped cabbage

Salt and Sodium

  • To convert sodium to salt: <units of sodium> * 2.5 = <units of salt>

Beef

  • mostly interchangeable: skirt steak, flank steak, hanger steak

  • flavor: skirt steak > flank steak > hanger steak


Rehydration

  • Rehydrate dried coconut combining 2 parts coconut and 1 part warm water (by volume) or equal parts by weight. Mix the coconut and water, compact the coconut down, cover, and let set for 10 mins. Drain any excess water.
