Spoon Laid Dumplings (Kluski Kladzione)



  1. In a large bowl combine flour and eggs.
  2. Gradually add buttermilk while beating with wooden spoon until the batter is smooth and thick yet flows slowly off the spoon.
  3. Using a teaspoon (or melon baller), immerse spoonfuls of batter in slowly boiling water until all batter is used up. The dumplings should be about 3/4" across.
  4. Don't worry if the water stops boiling for a minute or two when you finish. Gently stir the water with the dumplings and wait till it starts boiling again. Dumplings should be ready in about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Drain but do not rinse with tap water.
